Being an orphan, Obito lived with his grandmother since he was just 9 months old. However, when he was 11, his uncle Madara took him to live with him because his grandmother passed away.Born in a reputable family of Police line of work, Obito was raised with quite a hard upbringing by Madara. His uncle was dead discipline and somewhat controlling—the school he goes to, the major he takes, the private lessons—all those were decided by him.Obito had been living to Madara's demands and expectations for as long as he could remember. Nonetheless, he finally told his uncle what he wanted to do—he refused to join the police force, wanting to be a firefighter instead.

MODERN LIFE

Of course, Madara did not take it well when Obito conveyed what he wanted at first. This resulted in a silent treatment from both parties. Obito who usually greets his uncle no longer gives the same warm greeting he used to give. The dinner time they used to have together, even in silence, was now no more.The "cold-war" went for over 2 weeks, until Madara finally told Obito that he can do whatever he wants, as long as he does not tarnish the name of Uchiha and its reputation.A few weeks after the resolve, Obito bid his farewell to Madara, leaving the residence to start an independent life in Tokyo just before the college started. During his spare time, he'd come to visit his uncle, who he received news and words from within and regarding the Uchiha Clan.After he graduated from Criminology Major in college, Obito enrolled in Tokyo Fire Department and became a permanent member of the team.
